About Traffic Signs

A traffic sign works because a driver recognises it before reading it. That only happens if the shape, the colour and the symbol are the standard ones, so this is the one product where being creative is the wrong answer.

We produce road and site signage on aluminium substrate with reflective sheeting, in the standard geometry: triangles for warning, circles for mandatory and prohibitive, rectangles for information. Reflectivity is the specification that changes the price -- engineering grade for internal roads and yards, high-intensity prismatic where the sign has to be picked up by headlights at speed. If a supplier quotes without asking which, they are quoting the cheaper one.

The usual customers are not county highways. They are construction sites, factories, schools, hospitals, gated estates and logistics yards -- anywhere with vehicle movement and a duty of care, and anywhere an insurer or an auditor is going to look.

Posts, clamps and fixings are supplied with the signs, galvanised for outdoor life, and we install where access needs equipment.

Custom wording on the standard shapes is fine and often necessary -- site speed limits, no-entry zones, PPE requirements, parking allocations. Send us your site layout and we will produce a schedule of what goes where, which is usually a shorter list than people expect.
