About Branded Hoodies

A hoodie is the one branded garment people keep and wear by choice, which makes it the most-seen item a company can order. It is also the one where the fabric weight is impossible to hide.

Anything under about 280gsm is a sweatshirt pretending. 320gsm brushed fleece is our standard: it holds shape after washing, the cuffs stay tight, and it is warm enough for Nairobi evenings and Limuru mornings, which is what people actually buy hoodies for here. Pullover or full-zip, with or without a kangaroo pocket.

Branding is the real decision. Embroidery is stitched into the fabric -- it never cracks, it survives every wash, and it reads as corporate rather than promotional. It is the right choice for staff uniform, and it prices per thousand stitches, so a simple mark costs far less than a detailed one. Screen printing is better for large chest or back graphics and for anything with fine gradients, and it is cheaper in volume. Heat transfer suits very small runs and full-colour photographic artwork.

For a mixed order -- embroidered logo on the chest, printed graphic on the back -- we do both on the same garment.

Sizes run S to 3XL. Order a size curve rather than a flat split: in our experience a Kenyan corporate order runs heavier on L and XL than people plan for, and the leftover smalls sit in a store room for years.
