1. Who we are

Signsotech Sainz Enterprise ("Signsotech", "we", "us") is a commercial printing and signage company at Mecca House, Ground Floor, Mfangano Street, Nairobi CBD, Kenya. For anything in this policy, contact us at info@signsotech.com or +254 720 986 811. We process personal data in line with Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019.

2. What we collect, and why

• Contact form: your name, email, optional phone and subject, and your message — so we can reply to you. Stored securely in our database and emailed to our team inbox.
• Quote requests (Quote List & forms): your name, phone number, optional email, the products/quantities you selected and any notes — so we can prepare and send your quote. Stored in our enquiries system; a confirmation may be emailed to you if you provide an email address.
• Blog comments: the name you choose, your comment, and (optionally) email/website if you provide them. Comments are public by design; the engine may set small cookies to remember your details for your next comment.
• WhatsApp / phone: if you contact us on WhatsApp or by phone, your number and messages are handled inside those services under their own policies; we use them only to serve your order.
• Technical logs: like every website, our server records standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) used for security and troubleshooting.
• Our own visit counting: our server counts page views, and simple actions such as adding to the quote list or tapping WhatsApp, to see which pages help customers. It sets no cookie and stores no IP address: a visitor is recognised for one day only by a code that changes every night, so nobody — including us — can follow you from one day to the next. Page-by-page detail is kept for about 13 months, daily totals after that.
• Catalogue searches: we record search words, result counts and result clicks to improve our catalogue. These reports use a daily anonymous session identifier and a mobile/desktop category; they do not store your IP address or browser string. Obvious email addresses and phone numbers are excluded. Please do not enter personal details in search. Our administrators can review and remove older search reports.

3. Cookie Policy — cookies & local storage

• Session cookie (PHPSESSID): a technical cookie that protects our forms against abuse (CSRF). It identifies your browsing session, not you, and expires when you close your browser.
• Quote List (localStorage): the products you add to your quote list are saved in your own browser only — they never reach our servers until you choose to submit the list.
• Comment cookies: the comments engine may remember your chosen name/login between visits.
• Currency preference: when you choose an available display currency, your browser remembers that choice. Exchange estimates use our published rates; final quotations are agreed with our team in KES. This preference does not enable advertising tracking.
• Privacy preferences: a consent cookie records your advertising choice. Browser storage also remembers prompt timing, declined choices and any preference update awaiting retry. Limited enquiry reference tokens can link a later withdrawal to related advertising conversions; they are not your message text.
• Visit statistics (Google Analytics 4): shows us which pages are useful, so we can improve the site. It is not used for advertising, and it is part of how we run the website, based on our legitimate interest in improving it (Kenya Data Protection Act 2019). Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are counted this way only with their permission.
• Advertising (Google Ads, and Meta when configured): measures and personalises our advertising. It is off until you press Accept. We use Google's Consent Mode: until you accept, Google receives only cookieless, anonymous signals that cannot be used to advertise to you, and advertising data is redacted. Meta's tools load only after you accept.
• Hashed contact details: if you accept advertising and then send an enquiry, your email and phone number may be shared with Meta in a one-way scrambled ("hashed") form, so it can match the enquiry to an ad without seeing the details themselves. Without your acceptance, nothing about your enquiry is sent to Meta. If you accept advertising cookies and send us an enquiry, we also share a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email address and phone number with Google, only so Google can tell us which of our adverts led to your enquiry; Google cannot read the original details from it. Without your acceptance, your contact details are not sent to Google.
• Preloader flag: a harmless session marker so our loading animation plays once per visit, not on every page.
• Reading and visit helpers: a cookie remembers which of our articles you have read (for 30 days) so we can mark them and suggest others; your browser remembers article views and shares so each counts once, and the first page of your visit, which goes with a quote request so we know which page helped.

Your advertising choice: select Accept advertising cookies, Reject advertising cookies or Manage preferences in the privacy prompt, or reopen Privacy preferences in the footer at any time. Withdrawing consent switches advertising off in this browser at once and requests an update to related server-side advertising preferences; if that update fails, the website shows a retry message. Withdrawal does not erase information already sent to a provider; contact us about an access or deletion request.

4. Third-party services

• Google services: our pages load Google Fonts and show a Google Map on the contact page; the footer map loads when you choose to show it. These requests disclose technical information, including your IP address, to Google independently of your privacy choices. Google Analytics and Google Ads follow the choices in section 3 through Google's Consent Mode. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Font Awesome CDN: icon files are loaded from cloudflare.com's CDN, which sees standard request data (IP, browser).
• WhatsApp links: tapping a WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp (Meta) under its own terms.
• Meta advertising services: where configured and accepted, Meta Pixel and conversion reporting measure website interactions and advertising enquiries. These are separate from choosing to contact us through WhatsApp. See Meta's Privacy Policy.

We use the optional analytics and advertising tools described above to understand website use and measure our own advertising. We never sell or rent your personal data.

5. How long we keep your data

Enquiries and contact messages are kept for as long as needed to serve you and maintain our business records, then deleted or anonymised. Public blog comments remain until you ask us to remove them. You can request deletion at any time (see below).

6. Your rights

Under Kenya's Data Protection Act you may ask us to: access the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to its processing. Email info@signsotech.com with your request and we will respond promptly. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) Kenya.

7. Security

Your data is stored in access-controlled systems, form submissions are protected against forgery and abuse, and only our team can view enquiries. No internet transmission is 100% secure, but we apply industry-standard safeguards and keep improving them.

8. Children

Our services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18; if you believe a child has submitted personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves — the "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
